FREE Fall Classes with the Free Library

The Free Library is hosting all sorts of classes for #getHYPEphilly youth through the summer. Topics include food education, work readiness, urban agriculture and physical activity.

HYPE High School Summit
October 17th, 2017

The Food Trust's HYPE high school students come together for their annual summit to participate in fun, healthy activities, engage with like-minded peers and set goals for the upcoming school year. The summit will take place at the University of Pennsylvania.

HYPE Middle School Summit
November 1st, 2017

The Food Trust's HYPE middle school students come together for their annual summit to participate in fun, healthy activities, engage with like-minded peers and set goals for the upcoming school year. The summit will take place at Temple University's Liacouras Center.

NESAWG: It Takes a Region Conference
November 9th, 2017

Youth organizing is a crucial part of changing our food system, and youth are leading creative solutions all over our region. Join us to meet peers from throughout the region, raise your voice on the issues impacting youth in your area, and shape our food systems future. Contact Aunnalea if you'd like to bring youth to the conference. 

Student-Tested Food Show
November 17th, 2017, 12:30 p.m.

Pre-registered students will gather with approximately 20 food vendors to taste samples and give feedback for potential new menu items. Contact Devon at dsundberg@philasd.org by Oct. 10 to reserve your spot.
